DRUM Agency Announces New Client Win in the Nonprofit Industry with ALS Association

by DRUM, 20 May 2019

New York, NY—May 23, 2019—The ALS Association has concluded a national search for a fundraising partner, selecting DRUM Agency as its agency of record. The ALS Association is the only organization leading the fight against ALS on three fronts, offering care services, advocacy for people living with ALS and their caregivers, and worldwide research to identify treatments and a cure.

DRUM will support this important work by deploying a mission-based, integrated program that will include direct mail, paid digital media marketing, research and analytics. The Association will be the first nonprofit to use Launchpad, DRUM’s proprietary research platform to identify and refine messaging to key donor groups.

“We are humbled and excited to have the opportunity to use our skills as direct marketers and fundraisers to help support the mission of The ALS Association. We want to be part of the team that finds the cure,” said Virginia Doty, executive vice president, nonprofit accounts at DRUM.

“DRUM Agency offers not only technical insight and innovative tools to advance the reach and impact of our fundraising; its principals have demonstrated their understanding of what makes The ALS Association stand apart in the hearts and minds of the giving community,” said Tina Zeff, executive vice president of development at the Association. “The team at DRUM Agency understands the imperative of our mission and how to convey that effectively to people with the propensity to invest in our vision of a world without ALS.”

In the five years since the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, the Association has been able to triple its annual funding for research, resulting in significant breakthroughs in new therapies, more treatment centers, and technologies to help people living with ALS.
